    Why no FWD?

I don't have one and I don't run this class but I was wondering why are FWD not allowed in Late Model EFI? There are some that could cover fit in the current indexes within the intent of the class. Ecotec turbo motors, Zetec, 2.4 SRT-4 all come to mind. Anything to add participants seems like a good idea in this economy and these cars are just as representative of Late Model muscle as the current crop of entries IMO.

NO 4 BANGERS ! AND NO IMPORTS

Besides the NMCA wont even let the LT1-LT4 cars into this class. What makes you think they will consider 4 popper front wheel drives ? And who would want to watch annoying fart can fwd cars. Its hard enough to get people to watch the class as it is now.

Thanks guys you are great at answering the questions thats why I posted here.

Anybody else know why? I thought the original definition of a muscle car was big hp in lightweight body not average hp in 4000lbs car like the currently or soon to be available "Muscle cars." You guys should think big picture here if you can get 4 to 6 more cars per event you have a greater chance of keeping classes like this around. Thats another $350-$750 taken in for just this one class with no additional cost to the organization. Now you are paying for your own class and putting more into the organization. Come on Redgar you promote a series you know how important car count. Crawlin I seriously doubt that any Domestic FWD that can cover the indexes will have a fart can and if it does then you will know when to leave because that would probably leave before you.

Kent, probably the most fun I ever had at a race (that I did not win) was the MIR World Cup Finals. I have nothing against mixing them up and you are correct, I do know all about car count being important. Priority one in most cases.

However, it is clear that is not a direction NMCA is going.

If you read the rules for the class, it specifically states which makes and models are accepted in the class, but more generally, read the class overview. This shows the INTENT of the class.

    THANK YOU !

Personally, the day I see Fart can and/or 4 banger cars in the the NMCA with exception to the Brackets or even Open Comp I will find a new series to run.

If, the NMCA opens their doors to the Imports and 4 bangers that will be the start of their down fall, not to mention an example of "selling out."

That is my personal feelings and thoughts on that matter, if someone is offended or doesn't like my opinion take a look at the top of your browser and click "back."

Mopeds would be more entertaining to watch than fwd fart car 4 bangers.
