    Friday Mornin' Pics

Check out this event's official t-shirt, featuring Jeff Colletta & John Urist.

Ford Racing's 5.0L Coyote Crate Engine on display at Ford Racing's Booth. Only $7,000, ready to run, 412 hp, 'nuff said.

Dave Pierce is here with his Pro Street Camaro. This team ran well in Bowling Green this year, running a 6.14 in competition. This car has also been in the 3's in the 8th mile.

Hawk Performance Open Comp racer Donnie Bowles is here, ready to put his propane pony to the test.

Ford Racing also had their Leguna Seca-Spec 2012 Boss Mustang on display, this one makes about 444 hp.

One of the cleanest turbocharger kits we've seen for the new Mustangs so far comes from Hellion Power Systems. We thought this pony was stock, until you notice the intake charge tube disappears behind the bumper, neat stuff!

ARP Nostalgia Pro Street Record holder Dave Beeson is facing Jeff Colletta in a best two out of three grudge match this weekend. Colletta has been a 7.19 in competition, with Beeson running his own quick 7.17, so it should be a good match between these two.

Indy Cylinder Head Nostalgia Super Stock racer Mark Artis is here this weekend with his gear bangin' Ford. He broke the rearend last spring, but it's back together and he's looking for some tight racing in Index Rumble.

Dyno Joe Cram is here running a few different classes this weekend. He had some engine problems this year, but he's got it all squared away and he plans on taking home the Wally this weekend.

John Urist showed up this afternoon with championship-winning fox body. Every corner of this engine bay is impressive, but what we really like is the v-band attached header tubes, very trick.

Dwayne James and crew are here in Texas thrashing on their supercharged Outlaw machine.

There a few cool old hot rods here this weekend.

The school of automotive machinists are here with two cars, both naturally aspirated. The Camaro in the shot is the same that won the NMCA World Finals, and the team is shooting for sevens N/A this weekend.

Triangle Speed Shop has a couple Mustangs here this weekend, we noticed they are running 275 drag radials...maybe some testing before the big race in Las Vegas next weekend.

Late Model Hemi enthusiasts will be glad to know that Harland Sharp now offers roller rockers for the 5.6L and 6.1L Hemi engines.

The Tropical Impressions Racing Team had some cars on display in the car show.

Drag radial racer Daniel Pachar laid down a nice pass yesterday, a 7.78 at 183 mph in his 281-powered Cobra. He told us that he ran 5.10 to the eighth on that pass, but the car has been as quick as 4.93 in the eighth mile. Pachar says he shooting for the 7.50s today.

    That is all.

Stephanie Truell from the Westside Mustangs car club is here showing off her '05 GT in the Tommie Vaughn Performance booth. Under the hood is a ProCharged mod motor, and yes, it's hers.
