RIGHT!!!!!!!!you can do a burn out for 2 minutes and get 250 or you can go to the finals in open comp and get 250....gotta love running in the class that by far has the largest car counts and the lowest payouts....

We could always throw some 275's on the cars and run X275, they normally get 3-5 cars and pay $1500/$750..

    Sorry for the hi-jacking Kev...lol

i have been talking to alot of opencomp racers this off season, and it sounds like the class regulars are gonna step back on alot of races this year cause of the payouts....

Ive heard the same thing Frankie. Which sucks cause there is no group of guys better than the open comp class. Im wanting to hit the full schedule this year but only cause I want a shot at one of those rings and a new coat. But on the payout side its not worth it at all to spend 600 bucks in gas, to win 500. Not to mention entry fees, food and a place to stay. Thank god for contingencies which ive noticed the bottom few classes get screwed there too. I spent 2000 bucks for same set of AFR heads the fast classes did yet they dont pay us but will pay them. Open comp is thier bread and butter money maker class. Its gonna hurt turnouts for sure.
